Manuscript Workflow

Since Volume 5, Number 2 (December 2017), Jurnal Pertanian Terpadu has implemented a double-peer review process. Commencing with Volume 6, Number 1 (June 2018), each submitted manuscript has been evaluated by two (2) peer reviewers from various universities or research institutions aligned with the manuscript's field of study, under a double-blind peer review policy. Only manuscripts that pass both editorial screening and peer review are accepted for publication, subject to the publication quota of 10–12 articles per issue.

The manuscript submission and review workflow is outlined as follows:

  1. Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform by first registering as a user, or by sending them directly to the editorial email at jpt@stiperkutim.ac.id.
  2. Acknowledgment of Receipt: Authors will receive an email notification confirming that their manuscript has been received by the editorial office.
  3. Editorial Screening: The editorial team conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript's suitability regarding scope, guidelines, and formatting standards.
  4. Reviewer Assignment: Manuscripts that pass initial screening are assigned to two independent reviewers with relevant expertise, predominantly holding doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) from diverse institutions.
  5. Double-Blind Review: The journal strictly adheres to a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain mutually anonymous throughout the evaluation.
  6. Revision Rounds: A manuscript may undergo multiple rounds of revision until both the reviewers and the editors deem it suitable for publication.
  7. Review Platforms: Reviewers may conduct evaluations either through the OJS workflow or via direct editorial correspondence.
  8. Review Timeline: Manuscripts are dispatched to reviewers within one week following the completion of payment by the author (notified via email), and the peer review process typically takes 2 to 4 weeks.
  9. Acceptance and Scheduling: Manuscripts that successfully pass peer review proceed to copyediting and final layout before publication scheduling. Authors receive a notification and are entitled to an official Letter of Acceptance (LoA).
  10. Publication Schedule: The journal is published biannually in June and December.
  11. Formats: The journal is available in both online and print formats. Authors and readers who wish to order a print copy may contact the editorial team by email.
